The latest solutions for storing and managing electrical energy are a key element in the further technological development of energy, transport, and the Internet of Things. Currently, the most common storage technology is lithium-ion. However, these batteries are dangerous both for operation and the environment. The research company Clean Energy Technologies has developed a number of batteries of a new evolutionary stage. These are sorption batteries. Instead of the lithium intercalation/deintercalation process, we use the processes of salt ion sorption/desorption into the pores of carbon material. Together with a number of Ukrainian scientific institutions, we have developed our own carbon mesoporous material from domestic raw materials. The pore surface is about 3000 m.sq./gram, which is higher than most similar materials in the world. The material parameters are confirmed by the relevant leading laboratories. We have opened a powerful R&D Centre in Ivano-Frankivsk, where we have brought together leading scientists. We have already produced batteries.
